We had another FUN and EXCITING day in K2!
We read the book, 'Pancakes, Pancakes' by Eric Carle so we knew what ingredients to use, how to mix the ingredients and when the pancakes would be ready to flip!
Ms. Bennett showed the children how to use a measuring cup.
The students took turns measuring, adding and mixing the ingredients.

We estimated how many pancakes we could get on the griddle.
We counted the pancakes and then talked about their shape and how we knew when to flip the pancakes.
The pancakes are golden brown..... time to flip!
Thank you to Chef Bennett, she did an amazing job making the delicious pancakes!

The children ENJOYED eating the pancakes!

We then extended our learning by discussing the different types of fruits we could add to our pancakes and the many different designs we could put on them. Children were encouraged to draw and write about the pancakes we enjoyed today!
Happy Pancake Tuesday!
Please remember, cooking is a great activity to do with your child. Cooking is a great way to teach measurment, estimating, counting and so much more!!
