Just a Reminder.....

Tomorrow we will be going to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.

We will be leaving the school at 9:00 a.m. Please ensure your child arrives on time so we can get ready to go as soon as possible! Pick-up time will be 3:15 p.m., as usual.

Thank you in advance to the parent volunteers who will be joining us for the day. We couldn't go on a field trip without you!!

 

PAJAMA DAY is tomorrow! Your child may come to school in their favourite pair of pj's and they may also bring their favourite stuffed animal, too!!

 

Library

Library will now be on Wednesdays until March Break. Please make sure your child is returning her or his library book for our next library visit.

FIELD TRIP

On Thursday March 1^st, we will be going to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada to explore and investigate aquatic life.

Please fill out the permission form and return the form by February 21^st.  The only form of payment will be on-line. Please make your on-line payment by February 21^st.

Volunteers will be needed to supervise groups of children. We will only be taking four parent volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the relevant section of the permission form.

PACKING AND DRESSING FOR THE DAY

- A packed litterless, nut-free lunch and snack is required. Please ensure that your child eats a good breakfast before arriving at school.

- Please ensure your child has a backpack appropriate for carrying their belongings for the day

- We will go to the aquarium rain or shine so dress your child appropriately

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

 

 

Please remember tomorrow is Winter Activity Day. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather, we will be spending most of the morning outside.

Cooking is a great activity to do with your child, it is a great way to teach measurement, estimating, counting and so much more!! 

 

 

We Have a Busy Week Coming Up:

Monday Feb. 12th - Report cards will be going home for ALL students. An interview is not needed at this time. However, if you have any questions or concerns please e-mail us and we will get back to you.

Tuesday Feb. 13th - We will be celebrating National Pancake Day by making pancakes and eating them, too!!

♥💕 Valentine's Day Party 💕♥

 

 We will be having a party in the afternoon to celebrate Valentine's Day. If you would like to send treats in for the class, please make sure the treats are nut-free. Each child will be making their own 'mailbox' for Valentine's cards - if you would like to send cards with your child, please do not address them - it makes the handing out process very difficult!

There are 25 students in our class.

 Winter Activity Day
Thursday February 15th is Winter Activity Day at Clairlea! As the Junior/Intermediate students head out to ski or skate and the Primary students host their own activities, here at school, we will be having our very own Winter Activity Day. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately to play outside!!!

                 Our activities will include: games, a movie, treats and fun!

We learned all about Chinese New Year with our wonderful guest, Mrs. Clarke. She told us about the tradition of the red envelopes, taught us some Chinese words and even made lanterns with us!!
